Ingredients
- 2 cups all-purpose flour
- 1 tbsp baking powder
- ½ tsp salt
- 2 tsp Pesto and Pastabilities seasoning
- ½ cup cold unsalted butter, cubed
- ¾ cup cold buttermilk
- ½ cup grated Parmesan cheese
- 2 tbsp melted butter
- ¼ tsp Pesto and Pastabilities seasoning
Directions
Preheat your oven to 425°F. Line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
In a large bowl, whisk together the flour, baking powder, salt, and 2 teaspoons of Pesto and Pastabilities seasoning.
Add the cold, cubed butter. Use a pastry cutter or your fingertips to work the butter into the flour until the mixture resembles coarse crumbs with some pea-sized pieces remaining.
Stir in the Parmesan cheese.
Pour in the cold buttermilk and gently stir until the mixture forms a thick, slightly sticky dough. Avoid overmixing.
Divide the dough into 8 equal portions and drop them onto the prepared baking sheet, spacing them approximately 2 inches apart.
Bake for 15–18 minutes, until the tops are golden brown and the centers are cooked through.
While the biscuits bake, combine the melted butter with the remaining ¼ teaspoon seasoning.
Brush the warm biscuits with the seasoned butter immediately after removing them from the oven.
Allow them to cool for 3–5 minutes before serving.
